Why I Left Predicting the Future to Help People Change It
I used to have a blog called Psychic Hollywood. This was back in the late 2000s and early 2010s, before there were influencers and before anyone talked about going viral. My blog regularly received between 24,000 and 25,000 views per post, but I convinced myself those readers were mostly bots because very few people ever commented.
Looking back, I couldn’t have been more wrong.
Casting directors and television producers found me through that blog. Publicists contacted me to review books and products. I was invited to appear on television, interviewed by magazines, and introduced to opportunities I never could have imagined. At the time, though, I never connected any of that success to the blog itself. I assumed people were finding me because of Playboy Radio, reality television, or other media appearances. I never gave the blog the credit it deserved.
Eventually, I walked away from it.
To be honest, I wasn’t the greatest at spelling or editing my writing. This was before Grammarly existed. I 100% thought the blog was shit. I was doing it for me. I loved writing, I’m a paid writer so it was an outlet vs. looking for attention.
Oddly enough, I don’t regret that decision to end the blog.
Walking away from Psychic Hollywood made room for something much bigger. At the time, I didn’t fully understand it, but I was beginning a transition that would completely change my life. I was moving away from simply telling people what their future might hold and toward helping them create the future they actually wanted.
That shift changed everything.
Over the years, healing became more meaningful to me than prediction ever could. Instead of helping people prepare for what might happen, I began helping them change the emotional patterns, beliefs, and experiences that were shaping their lives whether they liked the outcome or not. Watching someone heal became infinitely more rewarding than simply being right about the future.
This blog is a celebration of that journey.
I no longer feel the need to make celebrity predictions, discuss the latest Hollywood headlines, or introduce you to the newest psychic television show.
Today, my passion is healing.
This space will be about creating lasting change, sharing what I’ve learned over decades of working with thousands of people, introducing you to remarkable teachers, and exploring what it really takes to heal and create the life you want. It’s again a space for me to get my ideas down even if no one reads it. This is my story, my life… my blog.
